The Allegheny County Airport Authority’s Air Service Development Internship position will expose the student to the business process of working with airlines and external stakeholders to understand their business needs and demands. The intern will receive hands-on experience through spaneting activities for the development of air carrier and air cargo services for the Allegheny County Airport Authority.
Here is how the Air Service Development Intern will help:
- Analyze and manipulate raw data through spaneting research for the purpose of developing spanet analysis reports.
- Research and develop new literature for route development purposes; work with fellow airports on spaneting strategies and assist in creating relevant survey materials.
- Research and benchspan regional economic trends that promote air service to airlines and encourage investment to the airport.
- Represent the Authority through spaneting and awareness programs by participating in community events to promote designated carriers and routes
- Online research to monitor community strengths, gain exposure to the community and regional spanet intelligence.
- Update passenger and cargo air service promotional materials.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Requirements to apply for role of Air Service Development Intern are:
- Second or third-year undergraduate from an accredited four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, Aviation Management, or a related field. Third-year undergraduates are preferred. Graduate students are also considered.
- Must maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or greater.
