Join Dassault Falcon Jet who is building a state-of-the-art flagship Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB) in Melbourne, Florida. Dassault Falcon Jet will serve customers across North and South America and beyond, the complex will accommodate all current Falcon models, (including the new, ultra-long-range Falcon 10X, the largest purpose-built business jet), and will be capable of performing major maintenance and modifications on up to 18 Falcon models.
Dassault Falcon Jet in Melbourne, Florida is seeking a full-time 2nd Shift (MON- THU 4/10 schedule) Interiors Technician in 2025 who will be responsible for custom cabinet installation and/or upholstery work. Fabricate, assemble and install products, such as window panels, headliners, decorative panel, access panel with the highest level of quality and craftmanship.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- The Interior Technician must complete assigned tasks with the allocated man-hour budgets and on a schedule while maintaining quality standards and performing the tasks within the guidelines of all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install products, such as window panels, headliners, decorative panel, access panel, etc.…
- Install main cabin cabinet such as Galley, Crew Closet, entertainment cabinets, window shades, Side ledges, tables, Mid Run cabinet, lavatory cabinets, etc.…
- Install final assemblies (including sinks, water, air and oxygen systems, drawers …).
- Perform functional checks on installed systems.
- Adjust and perform functional test on mechanical assemblies such as drawers, magazine racks, doors, curtain, tables …
- Install and fit carpeting in the aircraft.
- Install and perform function tests on cockpit and cabin seats.
- Set up and operate standard shop equipment.
- Accurately document work performed into Corridor.
- Complete tasks in quality manner within allocated budgets and schedules.
- Assist others as required.
- Work in accordance with Company rules, including but not limited to Safety, Training, Quality, Human Resources…
- Work in accordance with Business Unit rules, including but not limited to Tool Control, 5S…
- Must always present a professional manner.
- Keep work areas clean and presentable at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of basic carpentry or related experience.
- Must be able to work from sketches or 3D model.
- Must be able to read, understand and follow any written instruction such as, installation procedure, test procedure …
- Must be able to use drills, belt, disc, drum sanders and other common hand tools and equipment.
- Must have physical and muscular dexterity to install carpets, headliners, window panels, PSUs, cabinet assemblies, cushions, seats, tables, and related components.
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to work in a standing condition, lean on floor, stand up and down repeatedly, with or without accommodation.
- Must be able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs, transporting any, and all, interior furnishing and assisting other employees with items requiring more than one employee to transport the same.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical training in aircraft structure or maintenance.
- Experience in servicing, modifying or repairing aircraft.
- Experience in Custom Cabinet Installation and/or upholstery work.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Hangar and ramp environments with variable temperature range normal to local area.
- Must not be abnormally allergic to glue, resin, wood dust and other by-products of interior type furnishing.
- May be exposed to loud noise.
