Our client in Dallas is looking for Cabinet Technicians to join their team supporting aircraft interior refurbishment and installation. This role involves fabricating, installing, and refinishing interior furnishings on corporate jets, including cabinet teardown, veneer prep, finish application, and touch-ups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Fabricate, install and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request
Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions
Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures
Participate in 5-S activities
Perform work in a safe and timely manner
Assist with additional work on drop-ins and planned maintenance within the facility during slow periods of unplanned work as needed
Clean aircraft as required
Travel on international assignments if required
Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed
Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed
Requirements 2-4 years of interior experience preferred (wood finish or soft goods from auto, RV, or marine industries accepted)
Ability to disassemble cabinets, remove hardware, and inlay components
Skilled in stripping finishes using heat and scrapers
Experience sanding and prepping raw veneer and hardwood, including defect touch-up
Proficient in mixing, matching, and applying stains and paints on new veneers
Knowledge of spraying polyester base coats and urethane top coats
Aircraft touch-up experience preferred
Ability to mask and unmask components for the finish process
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of engineering drawings
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Corporate jet experience is a plus
Basic computer skills required
Miscellaneous Must report with two forms of employment eligibility identification
