SR. ACCOUNTANT, FINANCIAL REPORTING

In this role, youll play a key part in ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting across global operations, supporting strategic decision-making through technical expertise and process improvements. This role reports to the Manager, Accounting/Financial Reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including quarterly information and annual reports, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAP across 150+ spanets for the company and its subsidiaries
- Contribute to developing and maintaining global financial reporting policies and procedures under US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAP
- Document accounting issues and conclusions; support external auditors on financial reporting matters, and assist regional teams during statutory audits
- Account for non-routine transactions (e.g., business combinations, investments), including preparing journal entries and related disclosures
- Assist tax and legal teams on financial reporting impacts from local, US, and international tax rules
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements in reporting workflows, and support the implementation of solutions
- Assist with statutory filings and annual submissions: review drafts, communicate with auditors, and ensure consistent application of global policies
- Support the establishment of SOX compliance protocols related to financial reporting, including testing and documentation of key controls
- Help design, implement, and enhance internal controls for reporting in accordance with SOX, COSO, and other regulatory requirements globally
- Contribute to control frameworks, perform risk assessments, and assist with remediation plans
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of professional experience including financial reporting, SEC filings, and technical accounting
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- CPA license
- Sarbanes-Oxley Act and COSO framework experience
- Experience with Workiva for financial reporting, XBRL tagging, and compliance processes
- Experience in both public and private company environments, including high-growth scaling
- "Run it like you own it" mentality; thriving in fast-paced, ever-changing environments
- Ability to collaborate constructively with finance, operations, and leadership in a solution-oriented manner
- High-level understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, including revenue recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15)
- Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal (e.g., drafting footnotes and MD&A)
- Experience with MS Dynamics 365 or other ERP accounting systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SQL for data analysis
- Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines
- This position is based in Hawthorne, CA, and requires being onsite - remote and hybrid work is not considered
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Sr. Accountant: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
