Unique Skills:
DUTIES: Be responsible for an entire engineering project of major complexity within established scope. Make technical decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive engineering activities. Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts on avionics systems. Develop avionics system requirements for new software development and manage requirements through the entire development lifecycle. Perform post flight data analysis of flight squawks and problem reports to establish root cause, corrective action, and solution verification. Lead the development of innovative principles and ideas. Engage the supplier to provide technical leadership and direction on project focus areas and technical issues. Develop, prepare, and execute system requirement validation and validation. Perform aircraft and systems level integration testing to verify implementation of software fixes and problem reports. Act independently to determine improved methods and/or procedures to optimize technical product, cost, and schedule requirements. Work under consultative direction and use independent judgment to accomplish objectives. Develop standards and guides for diverse engineering activities. Conceive and plan investigation of broad areas of importance for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the program. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field required. Thirteen years of experience in job offered or related engineering position in aircraft flight control systems required, including any experience with: the development and certification process for autoflight systems; the aircraft development lifecycle and certification process; 14 CFR Part 25 certification; fly-by-wire controls; and with writing and validating internal system requirements related to autoflight system testing and certification. In lieu of a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field and thirteen years of experience, Employer will accept a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field and eleven years of the above-listed experience or a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field and nine years of the above-listed experience.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 13 yrs specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
