Tasks
The Technical Records Engineers main tasks are:
- Act as the primary customer contact for documentation queries, prioritizing tasks under the Documentation Team Leaders guidance
- Investigate and resolve customer documentation issues, including missing or incomplete records
- Perform Back-to-Birth (BTB) investigations on parts and landing gear assets to support production and business needs
- Create and customize documentation packs and Movement Traceability Sheets (MTS) per company and customer requirements
- Review production issues related to swaps, cycles, and BTB status, providing recommendations
- Support broader documentation tasks such as On/Off Logs and related investigations
- Optimize the use of company software (e.g., FlyDocs) for documentation processes and train team members
Requirements
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Degree in aerospace/aviation or technical qualifications with industry experience
- 5+ years in overhaul documentation, technical records, or CAMO/part management, ideally in MRO
- Expertise in Life Limited and Serialized part processes, preferably for landing gear
- Familiarity with Boeing and Airbus documentation is advantageous
- Strong written communication skills and experience with global customers
- Knowledge of document scanning systems (e.g., SAP, OCR) is a plus
- Comprehensive understanding of aircraft publications, EASA 145, CAMO, and Part M compliance
- Ability to interpret contracts and implement action plans for compliance
- Proficiency in learning IT systems like SAP and FLYdocs; strong Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP skills
- Collaborative, communicative, and professional in both internal and customer-facing roles
