Position Summary
Responsible for managing the technical lifecycle of products from design release through full-scale production and continuous improvement. This role ensures product designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with quality and regulatory standards. The Product Engineer works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support product launches, engineering changes, and ongoing product optimization.
Responsibilities
Support new product launches from design transfer through production ramp-up.
Review product designs for manufacturability (DFM/DFA) and cost optimization opportunities.
Lead engineering change management processes, including ECRs and ECNs.
Coordinate product validation activities, including testing, qualification, and reliability studies.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop robust production processes.
Investigate and resolve product-related quality issues using root cause analysis tools.
Support customer technical inquiries, product performance concerns, and corrective actions.
Maintain product documentation, including drawings, BOMs, specifications, and technical records.
Drive cost reduction and product improvement initiatives.
Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, and risk assessment activities.
Support supplier qualification and component approval processes.
Analyze field returns, warranty data, and failure trends to improve product reliability.
Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical guidance to production, quality, and service teams.
Participate in cross-functional design and project review meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Desing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related.
2-4 years of experience in Product Engineering, Design,
Strong hydraulic knowledge ( VANE Pumps)
Problem solving through statistical technics ( boxplots, DOE,)
- Strong understanding of product design, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.
- Experience with DFM/DFA principles and product cost analysis.
- Knowledge of validation, testing, and reliability methodologies.
- Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, and PPAP processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and BOM management.
- Effective communication and technical presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- C1 English level.
