MUOS Lab & Deployment Technician

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: $37.41-$42.41/Hour

Lab and Deployment Technician job in Scottsdale, AZ is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space and Defense company. In this job you will act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces
• Perform complex system level troubleshooting to component level
• Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
• Lay out, build, calibrate, adjust, install and maintain equipment, components, devices or systems
• Support Deployment activities at customer sites (CONUS and International)
• Identify and help prototype new preventative maintenance tasks

Qualifications:

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance
• Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Mechanically inclined and able to maintain, repair, and install equipment that is part of a “live and operational” system
• Experience designing, testing, modifying, fabricating and assembling prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment.
• Capable of working remotely with limited local support
• Interact and communicate with internal and external team members including customers
• Use computers and software applications to assist in job execution, with special focus on Excel
