Raytheon has an opportunity to join the Signal Processing Technology Group as a Software Engineer. The team’s primary goal is to design, architect, and implement Digital Signal Processing and related systems on a variety of high-performance heterogenous processing platforms such as x86, GPU and FPGA on HPC and embedded form factors, for next generation radar systems deployed on land and sea.
What You Will Do
Develop C++, Cuda, or FPGA implementations of signal processing algorithms or time critical control functions involved in direct control of sensor systems running on Linux or VxWorks.
Maintain legacy sensor software systems.
Assist in developing architecture and design of high throughput/high performance computing platforms utilizing general purpose CPUs and GPUs.
Work with systems, hardware, and software engineers to understand end-user requirements and apply implementation on new and established processing platforms.
Develop robust, scalable, performance driven software to be deployed on large scale computing systems.
Improve code quality by supporting software integration, verification and performing code reviews.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience.
C/C++ or FPGA development experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Mathematical skills.
Experience developing on Linux or VxWorks.
Embedded or HPC development experience.
DSP/Radar domain knowledge.
Algorthmic complexity analysis.
Experience with numerical libraries such as FFTW, BLAS, LAPACK, and MKL.
Experience in software tools: Git, CMake, GoogleTest, debugger, profiler, Jenkins.
High degree of creativity and ability to solve a wide range of difficult problems.
Ability to work independently and in a team.

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
