As a Service Engineer within our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) division, you will be carrying out complex repairs and inspections to aircraft landing gear at our customers facilities. Disassembly and inspection of landing gear, with application of remedial action to enable final assembly, test and certification, working in accordance with OEM instructions as required. Communicating directly to customers managing their expectations to provide excellent support.

You will also carry out onsite support, working as part of a workshop team carrying out the recertification of landing gears including disassembly, inspection, local repairs, bushing, assembly & test.

Job Requirements:

What do I need to succeed in the role?

• Engineering Apprenticeship, and proven experience in an aviation environment or equivalent
• Previous experience of landing gear maintenance, with the ability to dis-assemble, assemble and test complex landing gear assemblies.
• The ability to read and interpret component maintenance manuals, drawings, engineering layouts and additions to the original design such as Service Bulletins, Service Letters and Airworthiness Directives
• High level of dexterity with attention to detail, with the ability to use a variety of hand tools including precision measuring equipment
• Understanding of electrical circuits
• Excellent problem solver with root cause analysis skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• As you will be a company ambassador for Safran, a high degree of professionalism and effective communication skills are key
