Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities
Remain current in the state of the art within Gearbox Rotating Components for new technology introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions
Support other GE businesses, supplier, and internal / external customers.
Serve as a recognized leader in defining the state of the art in Gearbox Rotating components to anticipate, develop and apply technology to current and future business opportunities.
Provide engineering support, within Gearbox Rotating components, to teams working on performance, cost reduction and quality initiatives.
Leverage expertise to resolve problems in the field and/or during the manufacturing process.
Make recommendations after analysis of the data using quality tool
Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineer
Develop and implement training modules as necessary
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s in mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university
At least 8 additional years of experience in engineering position.
Knowledge of aeronautical power and accessory gearbox technical requirements, design solutions, technologies
Previous experience in mechanical design of complex products and/or New Product Introduction process
Experience with CAD tools (e.g. Unigraphics NX) and CAE tools (e.g. Nastran, Ansys)
English language knowledge, both written and oral
