Rotor Design Lead Engineer will be responsible for taking part in a design process of rotating components as well as supporting design of component tests/rigs and their execution. In this role, the individual will work within defined boundaries to make decisions to solve engineering problems of a moderate complexity, by taking timely actions, short-term planning, applying solid engineering principles and judgment to find optimum solutions.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Have knowledge of Best Practices and apply them in component design and integrate with adjacent hardware
  • Maintain and advance awareness of the competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate your technology area
  • Act as a resource to the team, providing technical guidance and mentoring to colleagues
  • Lead efforts/projects to solve both technical and schedule related problems
  • Present work to subject matter experts and program leaders at technical reviews
  • Monitor and effectively communicate projects status and potential issues
  • Ensure work is thoroughly documented
    Support specific functional and organizational initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • MSc/BSc in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar
  • Experience relevant to indicated position area of expertise
  • Executing analyses/evaluation of assigned projects, with limited guidance
  • Technical and problem-solving skills and ability to set priorities for assigned tasks
  • Focused on goals, motivated

  • Strong technical attitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Jet engines design experience
  • Passionate to learn, open minded
