Roles and Responsibilities
Liaise with Airworthiness Authorities (CAAM, FAA, EASA, etc.) to maintain compliance with the appropriate Air Agency Legislation and coordinate all matters pertaining to approvals, manuals and audit/ inspection at companys facilities.
Ensure company Airworthiness Approvals are current. Attend all queries pertaining to company capabilities approvals.
Ensure all procedures documented in the Authorities’ Manuals MOE, and local procedures are in compliance with the Company, Manufacturers and Authorities requirements.
Formulate working procedures by applying LEAN concepts and practices where appropriate.
Coordinate audit program on all procedural matters and providing feedback to management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies on a periodic basis.
Auditing of suppliers and subcontractors and providing feedback to management. Manage supplier or vendor performance issues as required.
Coordinate with Material team for the evaluation and approval of suppliers and ensuring it’s up-to-date.
Coordinate with Quality team and relevant functional leaders to review/ finalize Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventive action plans. Monitor and drive closure of outstanding actions arising from audits, investigations and surveillance activities.
Perform quality data analysis and monitor trends using internal tools.
Prepare, perform and assist the Quality Manager in all quality awareness program. Conduct Quality Trainings/ Flow downs/ Briefing as scheduled or arising from any Quality event.
Supporting the development, administration, and maintenance of the Safety Management System, including review of regulatory requirements. Ensure the maintenance of safety management documentation and records.
Facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment and management. Support in monitoring the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan, unless action follow up is addressed by the compliance monitoring function.
Prepare periodic reports on safety performance to the safety review board.
Review and organize SMS training and promotion, including content to support the business in recurrent training.
Support in customer and regulatory audits.
Qualifications/Requirements
Degree in Engineering/Operations Management or other related technical fields.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality or Engineering role in Aviation.
Attended QMR IRCA Lead Assessor Training course or equivalent, with experience in performing internal audit.
Trained/ Certified or practical knowledge of RCCA, PFMEA/FAI procedures and discipline.
Knowledge of Aviation Regulations such as CAAM Part 145, EASA Part 145, FAA Part 145 etc including Safety Management System.
Computer literacy is essential to the position.
