What are your contributions to the team?
- Handle customer needs, either by supporting requests for improvements or by solving in-service electrical problems;
- Respond to urgent grounded aircraft (AOG) situations;
- Analyze and produce interior wiring diagrams, test procedures, reports and maintenance instructions;
- Review engineering designs and actively participate in the development and integration of in-service solutions;
- Organize investigations into service issues and determine the root cause of a failure and devise effective and innovative solutions;
- Use your judgment and initiative to recognize the implications of your proposed solutions on other Aircraft systems and installations;
- Support preliminary installations of service bulletins (proofs);
- Coordinate and liaise with other departments, service centers, vendors and suppliers on projects. Support government entities for the certification of these projects.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent working experience;
- You have five (5) to ten (10) years of experience with electrical/avionics systems;
- Knowledge of CATIA V5 (2D or 3D), Autocad and MS Office;
- You are an autonomous person, capable of working with a minimum of supervision;
- You have good project management skills and understanding of impact of deliverables on project schedules;
- You have a thirst for knowledge, like to discover the “why” and find solutions to problems;
- You are able to quickly absorb information and, in some cases, ready to learn to support various requests;
- You are open-minded, able to easily change direction and pursue new avenues in order to successfully accomplish your projects;
- You are a team player, who easily integrates himself/herself to a group and is ready to help colleagues. You support and demonstrate a spirit of innovation, professionalism and commitment;
- You have a good grasp of French and English, oral and written, enabling you to interact with customers, impacted groups and you are comfortable leading discussions;
- You have knowledge of aircraft certification (Type Design and Supplemental Type Design, major repairs/modification, etc.) (an asset).
