What are your contributions to the team?
- Carry out tests and quality control of composite materials resulting from the process;
- Carry out tests and quality control for the evaluation of external suppliers;
- Ensure the follow-up of testing requests and the satisfaction of your internal customers;
- Prepare samples or coordinate sample preparation with the process team;
- Analyze and comment on test results;
- Work jointly with the mechanical laboratory to complete testing projects;
- Demonstrate flexibility, commitment and creativity in carrying out your daily tasks;
- Ensure compliance with deadlines required for delivery of test results
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a bachelor’s or masters degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering
- You have ideally 5-10 years of relevant technical experience in an aerospace engineering field
- Mastery of good laboratory practices including health and safety;
- Strong aptitude for communication, teamwork and customer relations;
- Bilingualism required, with good aptitude for technical reading and writing test reports in English.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Ease of working with international standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.);
- Strong aptitude for problem solving and priority management;
- Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 17025, Nadcap, AS9100, etc.) is a major asset;
- Work experience in the specific field of composite materials science is a major asset;
- Knowledge of mechanical and metallurgical testing is a major asset;
