Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. What are your contributions to the team?
• Provide technical solutions to production line for all structural and system installation issues.
• Ensure effective management of all design activities by closely working with other engineering departments, internal and external customers, Methods, Quality and Procurement.
• Maintaining technical knowledge and awareness of developments related to airframe structures
• Closely interface with, stress, systems, manufacturing and test groups.
• Prepare structural and systems layouts, interface drawings, installations, assembly, and detail drawings.
• Support design and program reviews with partner/suppliers
• Status projects for functional management
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in airframe primary and secondary structural design including systems installations,
• Understanding of airframe configuration, stress analysis, materials, manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of CATIA V4/V5 is required.
• Understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and inter-personal skills
• Good working knowledge to Microsoft Suite: Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel,Teams
