Up to 37.02 per hour (Umbrella)

Morson is currently recruiting a Process Engineer on behalf of our aerospace manufacturing client near Chester.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Manufacturing Engineering function supporting the single aisle programme, with a focus on work preparation and the industrialisation of both minor and major aircraft modifications. You will play a key role in supporting mechanical and electrical systems activities and ensuring smooth integration into production within a multifunctional team environment.
Translate design intent into accurate technical instructions and Manufacturing Engineering data for aircraft manufacture, assembly, testing and certification.
Deliver detailed work preparation including routings, BOMs, SOIs and STV calculations for aircraft production.
Implement best-practice methods, tools and processes to support current and future manufacturing needs.
Ensure all documentation and activities comply with required regulatory and departmental standards.
Project manage improvements to manufacturing methods, tooling and processes, including implementation plans aligned to business requirements.
Assess manufacturing process capacity, drive enhancements and recommend design changes where required.
Provide hands-on mechanical and electrical support to the shop floor, supply chain and Final Assembly Lines.
Strong understanding of lean principles.
Experience using business management tools, ideally SAP.
Ability to apply first-principles thinking across manufacturing disciplines.
Background in Manufacturing Engineering, with working knowledge of engineering and business information systems.
Proven experience in aircraft production processes, methods and procedures.
Effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Self-motivated with leadership qualities (desirable).
