Our employees are not only part of history, theyre making history. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Engineer NDT to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grummans Mission Assurance organization working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.
Responsible for the inspection composite aerospace components, and other energetic and non-energetic articles. This position is responsible for developing and implementing unique nondestructive inspection techniques, methods, and procedures. Works with design, project and quality engineers through the development process to select and implement the best NDT method to ensure product quality at lowest cost.
NDT Engineer Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with at least 3 years of experience as a Ultrasonic Level III or High school Diploma and 6 years of NDI experience including at least 3 years as a Ultrasonic Level III
Ability to obtain and maintain Active DoD Clearance per business requirements AND the ability to obtain Special Program Access
Must be able to work any shift
Preferred Qualifications:
Salary Range: $81,300 - $121,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
