Advance Aerospace Innovation with UsPDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Manufacturing Research and Development Engineer to support and enhance aerospace manufacturing processes and technologies. What You’ll DoAssist in defining requirements for tools, equipment, materials, and processes for aerospace manufacturing.
Draft engineering specifications and documents to manage tool and equipment deployment.
Support compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
Evaluate emerging technologies for potential aerospace applications.
Assist in developing and qualifying new tools, materials, and processes.
Perform routine testing and audits to qualify suppliers.
Conduct basic analysis to determine performance or causes of failure in tools, materials, and processes.
Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Develop computer and production systems to meet operational requirements.
Use project management tools to achieve cost, technical, and schedule goals.
Apply environmental health, safety, LEAN, and Quality principles to all materials, processes, research, and design activities.
What You BringRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution.
Minimum 2+ years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
Experience in Manufacturing Research and Development, mechanical/structures assembly, and/or materials and processes engineering.
1+ year of experience using 3D modeling tools.
- Project management experience.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:Active Security Clearance.
Experience with 3D printing.
Proven ability in rapid solution creation and deployment.
Experience in technology implementation.
Knowledge of electrical installation, teardown, and troubleshooting.
Understanding of aircraft mechanical/structural buildup and teardown.

Pay Details: $43.15 to $59.01 per hour
