What You Will Do:
The Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Module Center Manufacturing Engineering Organization is in search of a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, Hole Drill to support Hot Section Module Center South. Technologies within this manufacturing engineer role include Laser and EDM (electro discharge machining) hole drill.
Create PFMEA and Control Plan; develop process for new product introductions and development parts and collaborate with design engineering and IPT
Track, compile, and analyze data to understand process capability for decision making and generating projects
Implement new capital equipment from specification and ordering through delivery, installation and release to production
Perform First Article Inspection and control of manufacturing software
Identify & implement shop floor process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent QCPC turn backs /escapes and reduce overall assembly costs
Help create and maintain shop floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements)
Provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks and addressing quality issues; participate in CORE/ lean manufacturing initiatives
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, materials or computer engineering) and 2 or more years’ experience in an engineering, manufacturing, quality or closely related industrial environment or a Masters degree and 1 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, quality or closely related industrial environment
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Lean Manufacturing, ACE, CORE, Six Sigma, Red X, RCCA, problem solving / process control methodologies
Experience in GD&T, blueprint reading
Siemens NX – Drafting, modeling, CAM
NC Programming
Statistical Process Control
Machining knowledge to include: grinding, milling, drilling, EDM, Laser drilling
General knowledge of NC machines, spindles, axis, drives, scales (FANUC or Siemens)
Experience in technical writing

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
