Looking for Industrial Engineering that will support existing operations, and capacity planning. Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation and coordinate activities required to complete assigned initiatives. Analyzes labor hours and develops Basis of Estimates for new business. Works with manufacturing engineering and operations teams to develop and document manufacturing plans for new business.
Essential Functions:
- Performs a variety of industrial engineering tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the manufacturing operations staff and Company programs, methods, and practices
- Performs operation analysis, variance analysis, and method improvements studies
- Assists in auditing labor standards for accuracy
- Assists in the economic evaluation of suggestions and method improvement studies
- Prepares work flow, layout, sequence, manpower and other related charts, graphs and reports
- Assists in capital expenditure analysis, justification, and forecast
- Assists in plant and office space planning for efficient and effective utilization
- Assists in developing LEAN implementation plans and process improvement
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior Industrial Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior Industrial Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior Industrial Engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred
- Proficiency in Capacity Simulation Software. (example – ProModel)
- Experience in the development of excel based capacity models
- Proficient in the use of MS Project
- LEAN and Six Sigma production techniques
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is desired
