Job Description SummarySystem Design Technologies team operates within Advanced Technologies Operations, a group that matures the next generation of technologies and propulsion systems, which will enable the future of flights and dealing with advanced military and innovative engine architectures.
The System Dynamics Lead Engineer has the fundamental task to investigate how multiple components assembled together, to build a complex system, might interact and participate to the definition of the overall system vibratory behavior and how such a system reacts to external and internal excitations.
In this role you will utilize your engineering experience to solve problems, execute and develop engineering methodologies and tools, to grow technologies and affect business goals in the broad context of the system dynamics, which includes rotor-dynamics, gear-dynamics, torsional dynamics, frequency response, rotor-stability, Prognostic & Health Monitoring (PHM), with the following purposes:
• Support and execute system dynamic analysis as needed by New Product Introduction from its initial concept thru the full certification process.
• Contribute to advance the dynamics technology roadmap thru New Technologies Introduction programs execution
• Evaluate possible new design solutions via trade studies on legacy models. Suggest and provide design solutions for the challenges related to system dynamics.
• Implement the guidelines/inputs received in order to improve/upgrade design processes from the Dynamic analysis perspective.
• Support experimental test diagnostic and field investigations
• According with the field lesson learnt provide feedback to improve/align current Design Practices and methods.

Essential Responsibilities
Execute, in collaboration with the team, the analysis, design, test, or integration activities required to meet business standards and program / product requirements
Perform required assessment and present relevant technical data to reviewers as well as to internal and external customers
Guide younger engineers in the execution of the activities
Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
Assure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistently with engineering policies and procedures
Remain current in the state of the art within own technical specialty for new products introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions.
Qualifications/Requirements
Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university.
Knowledge of key aeronautical engines layout, architecture and mechanical systems arrangements.
Experience in engineering positions with depth expertise on Structure Dynamics simulation techniques & Rotor-Dynamics Fundamentals including knowledge in gearbox kinematics.
Fluency in English and Italian language, both written and oral.
Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required
