Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assure that products developed by GE Aerospace are the result of suitable, rigorous, and structured processes
- Conduct assessments / audits of engineering development activities to gauge compliance with applicable regulatory, industrial, and company standards including, but not limited to:
- RTCA / DO-178B/C
- RTCA / DO-254
- MIL-HDBK-516
- SAE ARP4754A
- Review technical documentation with a view to Quality and Compliance requirements
- Generate Quality Assurance plans and work instructions for execution of Quality Assurance functions
- Conduct root cause / corrective action investigations using appropriate procedures
- Provide regular and thorough status reports and data to leadership
- Ensure Quality records are maintained, metrics collected, and reports given back to the business
- Interface with customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training to quality processes and requirements
- Generate and maintain objective evidence of assessment activities for customer and regulatory review
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in engineering from an accredited university or college
- At least 3 years of experience in engineering, quality, process assurance or compliance
Desired
- Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Embedded Controls Experience
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to gain US Government Clearance
