Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead/support the insulation design of electric machines
- Perform analytical and numerical modelling and the voltage stress distribution in electrical components
- Perform experimental characterization and qualification of electrical insulation systems
- Collaborate with the electromagnetic designers of electric machines
- Support the electric machine concept development for hybrid applications
Required Qualifications
- MSc. in electrical engineering, materials science or physics
- Several years experience in the design, the experimental characterization and qualification of electrical insulation systems
- Experience in partial discharge free and resistant insulation systems
- Experience in Matlab/Simulink and/or Python
- Experience in validating electric machine technology through prototyping and laboratory testing
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools
- Proven system thinker with ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Desired Characteristics
- Ph.D. in electrical engineering or materials science or physics
- Excellent team player
