Job Summary: Industrial Engineer IIWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer II to enhance operational processes and drive efficiency in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing equipment layouts, workflows, and production standards, utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools, and supporting capital project management. This role requires analytical expertise, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Create operating plans to facilitate on time delivery of products to customers.
• Gather, analyze, and report data from various sources to provide actionable insights for shop floor and executive management.
• Create and track key performance metrics to support operational decision-making and site management.
• Perform analysis on product cycle, takt, and lead times to support rate readiness initiatives.
• Establish, revise, and maintain time standards in SAP for work orders and work order operations.
Process Optimization and Workflow Improvement:
• Assist in planning and optimizing equipment layouts, work cells, floor space, and workflows to maximize operational efficiency and maintain safety standards.
• Conduct time studies, utilization studies, and other direct observation methods to refine time standards and improve processes.
• Analyze overall process effectiveness and compile reports for potential improvements.
Lean Manufacturing Implementation:
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools, such as value stream mapping and process flow analysis, to identify bottlenecks and enhance efficiency.
• Perform capacity and layout analyses for manufacturing equipment to support production goals.
Project Management Support:
• Perform non-recurring engineering (NRE) activities in support of work transfer or business development proposals.
• Support capital equipment acquisition projects, including preparing cost estimates, timelines, and budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of new equipment and processes.

Profile and other information related to the position
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, or Supply Chain Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.
Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Basic knowledge of probabilistic and deterministic modeling techniques, including forecasting, capacity studies, linear programming, and optimization.
Soft Skills:
- Strong project management and communication abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Analytical problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Basic proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software for equipment layout and design.
- Basic proficiency with programming languages (e.g., VBA, SQL, Python, C).
- Familiarity with database systems and ERP/MES/MRP systems, such as SAP.
