We are seeking a talented Guidance, Navigation, and Controls Engineer to support the strategic Initiatives activities in multiple LOBs, including IAMD and TM! This role will require onsite support full-time at Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control headquarters in Grand Prairie, TX working a 4/10 Flex schedule.

What You Will Be Doing

• Collaborate with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB and C++ models of weapons, sensors, ground systems and environments, guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms and actual Operational Flight Program code into the 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS).
• Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), trade studies and simulation analyses for end-to-end kill chain assessment
• Use the simulations to support Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) Lab to verify performance requirements are met.
• Support integration and testing of hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL).
• Participate in flight test prediction and data performance analysis for flight tests

**This position requires a current DoD Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering

• Proficient in C++ and MATLAB and/or Python

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

• Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment

• Ability to occasionally travel for up to two weeks at a time to support flight tests

Desired Skills:
• Experience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL)

• Prior experience supporting flight tests

• Familiarity with some, or all, of the following: linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics, and rotating coordinate systems

• FORTRAN experience is a plus
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
