The Test Facilities Engineer is responsible of leading the operative activities relevant to the experimental test facilities at Pomigliano Test Center. He/she will support the test center leader through the entire experimental facilities maintenance and upgrade operations, from the instrumentation calibrations to the overhaul maintenance, from the facilities preparations for the test as well as the facilities upgrade. For these activities, when required, he/she will works  in collaboration with Test Engineer and Facilities teams of Pomigliano and Sangone plants.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Establish the test schedule for test cell maintenance in line with the tests plan and with the budget

  • Prepare and manage the maintenance procedure

  • Manage the maintenance activities in synergy with plant facilities team

  • Establish the test schedule for test cell calibrations and test cell preparation for the tests in line with the plan and with the budget

  • Guarantee the availability of all the test cell HW necessary for executing the test activities

  • Prepare test cell documents as, test cell configurations and test cell set up procedure

  • Support the design of facilities upgrade and coordinate and lead the related upgrade activities

  • Perform and lead root cause investigations in the test cell

  • Lead the testing continuous improvement by optimizing existing test cell process and identifying new opportunities of test cost reduction to preserve the test cells in operative conditions

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Aeronautics or Mechanical Engineering

  • Knowledge of facilities systems and familiarity with mechanical drawings

  • Knowledge of main types of test cell emergency procedures

  • Knowledge of main types of sensors instrumentation

  • Ability to operate with the main test cell equipment

  • Knowledge of main types of experimental test cell equipment as well as, big air compressor management, special water and fuel pumps, high temperature and pressure valve functionality, facility control systems, test enabling hardware

  • Experience in roles and activities where significant EHS requirements and practices were involved

  • Ability to work in team and in synergy with other department of the supply chain

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Availability to work on two/three shifts when required by the test schedule

  • Availability to work in different test cells and different sites.

  • English and Italian fluency, both written and oral

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

  • Demonstrate strong proactivity

  • Project management skills to plan and monitor the activities in terms of schedule and costs.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to lead cross functional and multicultural teams.

  • Capability of troubleshooting and problem solving
