Description:

Performs a variety of engineering work including design, analysis, substantiation, certification, drawing interpretation and project management as related to transport category aircraft.

What you will be responsible for:

• Design and analyze electrical systems and components, typically in support aircraft interior modifications and avionics upgrades (STC projects).
• Prepare electrical engineering reports and drawings including electrical wire installation, wire harness fabrication, and wire routing.
• Develop cabin electrical modification/installation work instructions, procedures and recommendations.
• Participate in customer design reviews and presentations.
• Coordinate and monitor electrical aspects of project schedule with project managers. 
• Troubleshoot aircraft electrical issues during STC prototype and post STC.
• Travel both nationally and internationally required (up to 5)
• Other duties as assigned 

What you will need to be successful in this role:

• BS Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or experience and training in their respective area of expertise to be determined equivalent (2 years minimum preferred).
• Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and wiring diagrams a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, preferably those created by Boeing, Airbus and other aircraft manufacturers.
• Ability and experience to create engineering details, assemblies, and installation drawings using AutoCAD or similar software programs.
