Role Overview:
Are you ready to shape the future of aerospace manufacturing? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. In this critical role, youll support tooling fabrication both in-house and at suppliers, ensuring seamless production processes and high-quality standards. With your expertise, you’ll work alongside top-tier engineers and suppliers to bring cutting-edge aerospace projects to life.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Tooling Development: Develop and manage statements of work (SOW) for manufacturing tooling. Serve as the primary technical focal point for tooling fabrication both in-house and at supplier locations.
Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with QA, Design Engineering, Fabrication, and Vehicle Engineering teams to ensure tooling requirements are met to the highest standards.
Supplier Coordination: Engage with suppliers to ensure tooling is fabricated per design specifications and quality standards, while managing timelines and addressing any challenges.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all tooling meets the necessary quality and design specifications and troubleshoot any issues during fabrication.
Problem-Solving: Act as the go-to resource for any tooling issues, providing technical solutions and guidance to teams both in-house and externally at supplier locations.
Required Qualifications:
Engineering Degree in a relevant field.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing or a machine shop setting, specifically related to tooling fabrication.
Proven experience working with suppliers to ensure tooling is produced to specifications and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Composites Experience is highly desired.
Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities within aerospace manufacturing environments.
Previous experience working in cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
