Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Develop comprehensive program plans to execute the maintainability objectives of the assigned program.
  • Acquire customer feedback and voice of the customer.
  • Support development of a product maintenance concept and support strategy.
  • Review design practices, lessons learned, and best practices for applicability to your assigned program Establish product technical and program requirements.
  • Analyze the engine cross section and external architecture.
  • Support design trade studies and trade-off decisions.
  • Perform periodic design reviews (CDR, PDR, DDR, VDR) of the product.
  • Participate in and support technical meetings where maintainability input is required.
  • Provide support to other engineering functions and Design Boards.
  • Communicate Maintainability and Supportability imperatives at multiple levels.
  • Support the development of engine specific hardware lists, LRU lists, and hand tool lists.
  • Develop engine specific digital toolboxes, keep out zones, and removal paths for insertion into the digital engine model.
  • Analyze the digital engine assembly for maintainability concerns in new engine assembly, line/organizational level, modular/intermediate level, and shop/depot level maintenance.
  • Review and approve Interface Control Documents, Development Problem Reports, and Change in Design documents (CID).
  • Support the identification and development of support equipment
  • Support and analyze engine assembly, integration, test, and certification activities.
  • Support Product Support Engineering activities
  • Perform and/or support Integrated Product Support activities
  • Perform and/or support Maintenance Steering Group-3 / Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis activities
  • Perform Maintainability and Supportability predictions
  • Perform Maintenance Task Analysis and develop a Maintainability and Human Factors Scorecard Develop and deliver customer contractual deliverables.
  • Perform Maintainability Demonstrations and Risk Reductions
  • Create, analyze and update technical publication content used by customer maintenance organizations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

Desired Characteristics

  • experience in a field closely related to maintainability or supportability engineering  such as manufacturing, product definition, product safety, product support engineering, field service engineering, technical training
  • Strong communication skills
  • A&P License
  • Experience using digital engine tools TeamCenter NX, and/or Visualization Mockup
  • Familiarity with:
  • Technical Review (TR) and Program Control Board (PCB) processes
  • Design Review (CDR, PDR, DDR, VDR) process
  • Military and or Commercial technical publication structure and content
  • Design Practice (DP) and templates (DPT) structure and use
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) process
  • Field Problem Resolution process
  • Product Life Cycle
  • Production assembly and customer maintenance environments

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
