Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for an Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This engineering position is for a role on our Hardware Engineering Team. In this role you will be supporting Electronic Warfare and Radar Development programs. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a drive to lead from where you are, collaborative people skills, and the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.
Your responsibilities will include:
Perform design and development of analog circuits, digital circuits, microcontrollers, FPGAs, equipment racks, circuit board assemblies, cable assemblies, and test equipment.
Research, design, develop, and test a variety of RF circuits including amplifiers, filters, mixers, up and down converters, and modulators/demodulators.
Access, interpret, and recommend changes to engineering drawings
Interact with other team members and software group to determine interfaces and operating characteristics
Develop specifications for, and perform selection of, components for use in electrical equipment.
Frequent opportunities to interact with Program Management, external suppliers and/or government customers, therefore excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role
**This position may be filled at the Electrical Engineer OR Principal Electrical Engineer level.
Basic Qualifications for Electrical Engineer:
Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent STEM related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 1 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 0 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.
Proficient with simulation tools such as HFSS, Spice and MATLAB
Basic knowledge of Digital and RF circuit design
Experience with lab test equipment such as function generator, oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, etc.
Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance
Basic Qualifications for Principal Electrical Engineer:
Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent STEM related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 3 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 1 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.
Proficient with simulation tools such as HFSS, Spice and MATLAB
Basic knowledge of Digital and RF circuit design
Experience with lab test equipment such as function generator, oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, etc.
Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of Radar principles
Proficient designing circuitry for microwave frequencies
Proficient with RF test equipment.
Experience with PCB design
Experience in aviation and/or Department of Defense programs.
Salary Range: $77,200 - $115,800
Salary Range 2: $95,300 - $142,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
