Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
Assure the airworthiness and safety of the assigned fielded CT7-8 Turboshaft Platforms.
Provide technical assistance to CT7-8 operators, maintainers, and Field Service Engineers in troubleshooting CT7-8 Turboshaft engine issues.
Further enhance the reputation of GE and the product in the field through superior technical support.
Participate as an active member on the CT7-8 Platform team working with Program Managers, Customer Support Managers, and RTP Model Engineers.
Participate in NPI programs, representing the voice of the end customers, to enhance the performance, durability, maintainability, cost effectivity, and customer satisfaction for CT7-8 Turboshaft platforms.
Responsible for the CT7-8 engine maintenance manuals and depot manuals. Author both manual corrections/revisions along with ensuring the instructions for continued airworthiness requirements are maintained.
Track fleet metrics, prepare presentations, and conduct reviews on the status of the fleet reliability metrics with internal and external customers for assigned CT7-8 Platforms.
CT7-8 Platforms Time on Wing (TOW) focal. Develop programs with the goal to increase Engine TOW for operators.
Participate in field event investigations for CT7-8 Platforms.
Manage communication among internal organizations and external customers to ensure effective product support and customer satisfaction.
Presentations to external customers on fleet status and product improvement programs.
Assist in developing technical procedures and technical solutions to address operator issues on the CT7-8 Turboshaft Platforms.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of technical expertise experience (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of technical expertise experience).
3+ years of experience in engine systems, controls operability, engine performance or turbo machinery.
Willingness to travel 20 of the time.
Desired Characteristics:

Knowledge of various support service groups such as Repair Engineering, Tech Pubs, and Support Equipment.
