As an Advanced Systems Engineer, you will design, integrate, and validate advanced aerospace systems spanning communications management functions (CMF), Flight Management Systems (FMS) and other mission-critical systems on various avionic platforms. You will serve as a key technical contributor and lead for small to medium sized technical projects.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead system integration and verification at the product or system level.
- Own project or systems requirements, ensure compliance through traceability.
- Lead risk management activities and failure effects analysis (FMEA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards and operational efficiency
- Identify and execute cost, schedule, and technical efficiency improvements
- Travel within U.S. and/or Internationally: 10
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- At least 5 years of Systems Engineering experience.
- Experience in aerospace communications systems.
WE VALUE
- Experience with ARINC 664, CPDLC or FANS datalink communication systems.
- Experience with Aerospace, Airsim, Multisim, MATLAB, Teamcenter, DOORS, JIRA
- Working knowledge of industry standard communication protocols (ARINC, MIL-STD-1553, CAN)
- Lab experience testing and verifying requirements of systems and software.
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
- Ability to adapt dictated by project changes.
- Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
- Diverse thoughts and ideas; and experience teaming and collaboration with global Engineers.
- An understanding of data and networking structures, protocols and apply analytical problem-solving methods.
