Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics to support prototype development.
- Assemble, modify, troubleshoot, calibrate, and test complex tools, equipment, and systems—including laser/light transmission devices and experimental circuitry.
- Construct and debug advanced electro-mechanical hardware using fabrication tools.
- Design and build custom tooling and fixtures to support specialized engineering tasks.
- Conduct and document statistically driven experiments to define process parameters and improve quality.
- Analyze technical data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements.
- Document and implement complex solutions for process enhancement and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in an advanced technician or engineering support role
- Proficient in the use of fabrication tools with the ability to build and modify complex hardware
- Working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, test equipment, and basic design circuitry
- Strong understanding of technical theory and practical application in R&D or prototype environments
- On-site work required; no remote option
