Advanced ASIC FPGA Engineer

Contract Position

$66.43-$71.43/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, verification, and documentation of ASIC/FPGA solutions, including architecture definition and simulation.
• Develop module interfaces, evaluate process flows, and conduct synthesis, place and route, and timing/power analysis.
• Create and execute test and simulation plans to verify performance and establish functional criteria.
• Improve organizational processes related to ASIC/FPGA development and product lifecycle.
• Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability, and project requirements.
• Independently determine and execute solutions, contributing to major programs and projects.
• Maintain regular communication with internal teams, project leaders, and external customers.
• Stay current with technology trends and incorporate best practices into designs.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of ASIC/FPGA engineering concepts, principles, and processes.
  • Proficiency in ASIC/FPGA design tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of related disciplines and their integration into ASIC/FPGA designs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to address issues and deliver corrective actions.
  • Ability to think creatively, multi-task, and manage complex assignments.
  • Experience in reporting and presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
