Advanced ASIC FPGA Engineer
Scottsdale, AZ or Bloomington, MN
Contract Position
$66.43-$71.43/Hour
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, verification, and documentation of ASIC/FPGA solutions, including architecture definition and simulation.
- Develop module interfaces, evaluate process flows, and conduct synthesis, place and route, and timing/power analysis.
- Create and execute test and simulation plans to verify performance and establish functional criteria.
- Improve organizational processes related to ASIC/FPGA development and product lifecycle.
- Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability, and project requirements.
- Independently determine and execute solutions, contributing to major programs and projects.
- Maintain regular communication with internal teams, project leaders, and external customers.
- Stay current with technology trends and incorporate best practices into designs.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of ASIC/FPGA engineering concepts, principles, and processes.
- Proficiency in ASIC/FPGA design tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of related disciplines and their integration into ASIC/FPGA designs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills to address issues and deliver corrective actions.
- Ability to think creatively, multi-task, and manage complex assignments.
- Experience in reporting and presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
