Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for emergency calls and dispatch services while monitoring multiple fire and security radio channels in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide approved Pre-Arrival Instructions following company protocols and emergency procedures.

• Maintain accurate records and make appropriate internal and external notifications.

• Operate effectively as part of a high-functioning team under stressful or urgent conditions.

• Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in departmental training.

• Maintain Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification and compliance; in-house EMD training provided.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED with 1+ year of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 1+ years of experience working in a team environment, managing multiple tasks concurrently.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Willingness and ability to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military or professional experience.

  • 1+ years of experience as an emergency dispatcher at a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) or in a similar role within Security and Fire Protection.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining focus and professionalism.

  • Experience using Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and multitasking with multiple audio and data inputs.

  • Demonstrated accountability, adaptability, and ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both in-person and over emergency radio and telephone systems.
