Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for emergency calls and dispatch services while monitoring multiple fire and security radio channels in a fast-paced environment.
Provide approved Pre-Arrival Instructions following company protocols and emergency procedures.
Maintain accurate records and make appropriate internal and external notifications.
Operate effectively as part of a high-functioning team under stressful or urgent conditions.
Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in departmental training.
Maintain Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification and compliance; in-house EMD training provided.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED with 1+ year of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
1+ years of experience working in a team environment, managing multiple tasks concurrently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Willingness and ability to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military or professional experience.
1+ years of experience as an emergency dispatcher at a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) or in a similar role within Security and Fire Protection.
Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining focus and professionalism.
Experience using Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and multitasking with multiple audio and data inputs.
Demonstrated accountability, adaptability, and ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both in-person and over emergency radio and telephone systems.
