Air Borealis is currently seeking applicants for a Flight Follower position in Goose Bay, NL.
Job Duties:
- Provide flight following for all Air Borealis flights for the area of operation;
- Check and monitor weather conditions;
- Prepare and flight and weather packages for flight crew;
- Monitor passenger and cargo loads for all flights;
- Responsible for the daily line up; compiling information, updates accordingly, circulation;
- Maintain radio communication with all Air Borealis flights;
- Provide coordination of ground services, counter services and flight crews with respect to arriving and departing flights;
- Coordinate the aircraft assignments and service ability with maintenance;
- Coordinate crew assignments with crew schedulers and flight operations while abiding Transport Canada regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);
- Coordinate the passenger/cargo loads with Commercial to ensure efficient movement of aircraft; Identify and present any impact to the operation or client;
- Coordinate the loading/unloading of aircraft with Ground Operations;
- During periods of irregular operations responsible for identifying alternate solutions to a successful operation while working in a team environment;
- Maintain constant communication with the St. John’s operations center on the status of all flights using the daily line up and company software programs;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret weather using the Aviation Weather Web Site would be considered an asset.
- Radio Operators License would be considered an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently is a must.
- Familiar with Microsoft office products.
