Position Summary:
AAA, United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in New Haven, Indiana that is one of the worlds leaders in aircraft electrical systems. We are looking for experienced Wire Harness Technicians who are seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!
The Wire Harness Technician will perform electrical wire harness modification and repair.
Essential Functions:
- Modification and repair of bundles at partner sites with the following duties
- Reads instructions such as work orders, diagrams, form boards and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.
- Rework connectors, back shells, wires terminations, splices, split rings, lugs and any other component built in a Wire Harness.
- Wrap and tie wires.
- Route wires.
- Change routing/ breakouts.
- Perform Electrical Tests
- Complete associated paperwork.
- Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture.
- Ability to obtain and sustain Operator Self Verification (OSV).
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must have 0-2 years of wiring experience. Basic wiring experience or a combination of experience and training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic ability to complete new hire training requirement.
- Basic wiring knowledge
- Advanced ability to work in a team environment using interpersonal skills.
Scope of Responsibility
- Under close supervision performs modification and repair of bundles at partner sites
- Work is closely supervised-following specific, detailed instructions.
