Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an authorized phase B and D Calibration course or two (2) years of on the job training (OJT) by qualified Avionic Calibration (PME) Mechanics.
- Must have a valid state operator's license and be able to pass the government licensing requirements for support equipment and forklifts.
- Obtain and maintain all applicable GSE Licenses.
- Must be able to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language.
- Must have the ability to accurately carry out written and verbal orders, instructions and directives.
- Must have graduated from or complete within 30 days of hire, a Navy approved corrosion training course.
- Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or equivalent (GED) AND six (6) years of experience in work related to the above-described examples.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
- A thorough knowledge of Oxygen clean procedures for Calibration and repair of Oxygen Gages and Oxygen Test Stands.
- A thorough knowledge of calibration laboratory operations, troubleshooting, repair, modification, maintenance procedures.
- Must become familiar with Company and Government Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality Control and Property Control policies and procedures and local operating procedures within sixty (60) days of date of hire or assignment to position.
- Knowledge of materials used and safety precautions as applicable to usage.
- Familiarization with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series, and other applicable Navy instructions, maintenance instruction manuals, IPB's, manufacturer's manuals and company instructions as required for the performance of job functions. Minimum of three (3) years recent experience in Physical, Mechanical and Dimensional Calibration.
- Must be able to pass qualification requirements and perform functions of a Quality Control Inspector for appropriate workcenter(s) when designated and authorized.
