Aerotek is currently seeking several Avionics to support large MRO facility based out of Bridgeport, WV. Specifically, this position will be supporting Bombardier's Service Center at the West Virginia Air Center. Due to growing business demands, additional lines of maintenance being added, and inspection work, Bombardier is looking to add personnel to their staff to deal with the spikes they will experience in the next 2-3 weeks.
Basic job description is listed below for the Avionics Technician:
--Perform inspections, making adjustments and repairs, replacing components, and correcting malfunctions or deficiencies
-Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations
-Access and re-install aircraft components which obstruct the performance of assigned tasks
-Work in shops as well as on aircraft
-Provide a list of parts needed on squawks within area of expertise
-Assist with repairs on off-aircraft components such as flight controls, leading edges, gear components, tires, wheels and actuators
-Assist with complex repairs at on-site & off-site location
-Assist in performing APU runs for the purpose of system operations and troubleshooting
-Perform other tasks such as cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods, and equipment, and load and secure ballast and/or freight as directed
-Assist in towing aircraft
Bombardier's facility in West Virginia is a central Service Center for their CRJ 200, 400, 700, and 900 series aircraft. This is one of their most profitable centers in their network and the job will be supporting huge / sustainable spikes in business. They predominately service Regional carriers such as PSA, Mesa, Air Wisconsin, and Pinnacle.
