General Description: Avionics Technicians are responsible for performing aircraft maintenance as assigned.
Responsible To: Lead Aircraft Mechanic, Director of Maintenance
Summary:
- Ensure comprehension of assigned task(s) before initiating any maintenance. If necessary, communicate concerns or questions with the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform all maintenance in accordance with applicable technical data, industry standards, and procedures contained in this manual.
- Perform maintenance with the highest quality of workmanship avoiding any act, which may endanger personnel or cause damage to equipment and articles.
- Perform all maintenance using proper tools and equipment and ensure that equipment is stored in its proper location upon completion.
- Ensure that the manufacturer’s safety precautions are taken before initiating any maintenance.
- Complete all forms and paperwork in accordance with the instructions contained in Appendix A of the repair station manual.
- Notify the Lead Aircraft Mechanic immediately of any condition that arises which might represent a problem or unsafe condition including disputes between maintenance and inspection personnel.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in a safe and orderly condition.
- Provide instruction to less experienced employees as assigned.
