An elite aviation program supporting critical U.S. defense missions is seeking seasoned Avionics/Electrical Installation Technicians to support modification and missionization efforts on special missions aircraft.
This role involves extensive aircraft wiring, avionics installation, and system integration on rugged fixed-wing platforms modified for ISR, electronic warfare, and strike operations. Ideal candidates are hands-on professionals with deep experience in military or government aircraft modification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install avionics, electrical systems, test instrumentation, and associated components in fixed-wing aircraft.
- Fabricate and install wiring harnesses for data, power, and signal—using appropriate crimps, pins, connectors, backshells, and cannon plugs.
- Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical and avionics systems per engineering specifications.
- Work directly with engineering teams to provide technical feedback and design input.
- Conduct system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and propose repair solutions.
- Maintain required quality and compliance documentation, including shop orders, logbooks, and DMRs.
- Record time, material usage, and work performed to support project cost tracking.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- 8+ years of hands-on aircraft avionics/electrical experience in government, DoD, or commercial aviation.
- Extensive experience with complex wiring harnesses, connectors, and panel installations.
- Strong ability to follow schematics and work with minimal supervision on prototype or low-rate production aircraft.
- Familiarity with FAA or military standards and documentation (e.g., AS50881, AC 43.13).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving program requirements.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment 10-year Criminal Background Check, standard FAA DOT drug test, and basic health physical.
- Reliable personal transportation/vehicle required.
- Proof of US citizenship.
- Valid US Driver’s License.
- MUST have basic tools/box.
