We are seeking highly skilled Aircraft Mechanics II to support the F-15 System Program Office in completing the Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) 1F-15E-926 Anti-Jam GPS Antenna modifications on F-15E model aircraft. The role will involve performing maintenance and modifications at Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Plan and manage maintenance control functions.
- Document maintenance actions using logs, records, forms, and electronic systems.
- Operate and inspect support equipment (SE).
- Conduct aircraft inspections and troubleshoot issues.
- Execute general aircraft maintenance and technical directive compliance.
- Perform modifications and maintain compliance with tool control programs.
- Maintain aircraft, engine, and SE logbooks.
- Conduct aircraft jacking/de-jacking operations.
Aircraft Mechanic II (Avionics/Electrician)
Electrical Experience:
- Minimum of six years total experience in aircraft maintenance as an aircraft avionics/electrician with one year on F-15 aircraft.
- The Contractor shall have the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts and accessories/components and the skill to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications.
- The Contractor shall also have the skill to identify and isolate integrated systems malfunctions analyze performance and operate integrated avionics systems to determine operational conditions per operational checks.
- Experience using specialized tools required for military aviation electrical connector assembly/disassembly and other associated electrical terminating devices is required.
Electrical Knowledge:
- The Contractor shall have the ability to follow and accomplish tasks in accordance with existing published technical data.
- The Contractor shall have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications required to accomplish maintenance tasks and modifications.
- Knowledge is mandatory of electrical, electronic, microelectronic, mechanical, and indicator principles theory, and application relating to electrical systems; concepts and application of maintenance directives; meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics; using and interpreting testing and measuring devices; and proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials.
Other:
The Contractor shall have the ability and qualifications necessary to perform Embedded GPS/INS BIT and Operational Checkout as well as assist in F-15E aircraft jacking/de-jacking, aircraft hydraulic system bleeds, and hydraulic landing gear operational checks. Normal color vision as defined in AFI 48-123, Medical Examinations and Standards is mandatory for this specialty.
WAGE: $37.73
Additional Rate: Health and Welfare of $5.36 for each hour worked to be used for medical expenses/health benefits, any unused funds will roll over into a 401k at the end of the year.
