Are you a creative, collaborative, and customer-focused professional with a passion for technical learning and development? Join our team at Straight Flight as a Technical Trainer III, you will play a key role in designing and delivering technical training solutions that impower the internal teams.
What you will do:
- Develop and implement engaging technical training content and materials.
- Deliver expert-level training and support on-site.
- Partner with our General Manager, Director of Maintenance, Chief Inspector and Lead Technicians to align training with product employee development, safety and customer needs.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to Leadership on training program effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Act as Designated Employer Representative (DER) by overseeing and managing the companys drug and alcohol testing program required by the FAA and DOT.
- Maintain employee training records to include tracking of completed, required and upcoming training,
Must-haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, and 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Advanced education may substitute for some experience.
- Demonstrated success in supporting and addressing Company training needs.
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across all areas of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in technical training, communications, or program operations.
- CTT (Certified Technical Trainer) or similar certification.
- B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher-level degree may substitute for relevant experience.
- Typically, 8+ years of progressive aviation experience which includes 4+ years of management experience.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification
- Comprehensive knowledge with aviation safety standards, safe operating practices, aircraft maintenance and inspection processes, procedures and/or returning planes to service
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Corridor experience
