Technical Marketing Coordinator (Full Time)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for helping increase product awareness and competitiveness by providing support to the spaneting and sales team. The Product Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with spaneting and the sales teams to develop Piper’s overall go to spanet approach for each product. The Product Marketing Coordinator works with engineering to ensure product upgrades and enhancements that reflect customer expectations that will result in revenue growth for Piper Aircraft.
Assist in the development and delivery of the following materials and tools to be used in the full range of Piper’s Marketing & Sales Programs. These materials and tools include but are not limited to:
o Marketing Collateral
o Sales Tools
o Sales Presentations
Participate in sales lead process to include first point of contact, answering technical and product support questions, as well as conducting product demonstrations
Serve as resource for sales and spaneting team members to help ensure accurate and factual product performance technical data is reflected in all materials and tools
Assist with spanet research, competitive analysis and product differentiation
Perform data mining activities for the purpose of spanet competitiveness for Piper’s products
Help identify target prospects for each product, and then work with spaneting and creative design team on a strategy to educate and attract the prospects
Development of sales and spaneting programs to address specific sales needs, such as tax incentive tools, sales incentive programs, etc.
Demonstrate company products to prospects and customers as needed
Represent company products at company and dealer managed events and tradeshows as needed or requested
Participate in the new product development process to include identification and implementation of new avionics, power plant, interior designs and exterior paint schemes
Create and administer sales and technical training programs on new/upgraded products for use
Perform other duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree and three or more years’ experience within the general aviation industry required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of (and) experience operating Piper aircraft models and products preferred. Experience and knowledge of aircraft sales processes is preferred.
FAA Pilot Certificate required (Commercial, Instrument, Multiengine) and a minimum of 500 hours total time. Must possess Second class or better FAA Medical Certificate.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, a working knowledge of Windows based computer programs, and experience with relational databases and CRM systems ae required to perform the duties in this position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
The employee must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for the successful performance of the duties of this position.
