Technical Administrator – ESS
Location: Bolton
Contract: 12 Month Contract
Rate: 16.50 – 18.00 per hour
Morson are recruiting on behalf of a leading Aerospace and Defence company for a Technical Administrator to join their Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) & Mechanical Team at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bolton.
This is an excellent opportunity to support critical engineering operations within a highly regulated, fast-paced aerospace and defence environment.
The Opportunity
The ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) & Mechanical Team is responsible for the commissioning and day-to-day support of environmental and mechanical test facilities.
As Technical Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support to environmental and mechanical engineers, ensuring programmes are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
The Role

Updating and controlling company equipment records, including archiving and transfer activities

Supporting configuration control and asset management processes

Generating and updating technical documentation such as calibration specifications and proving documents

Processing facility documentation including configuration control records and external visitor paperwork

Liaising with Design and Manufacturing Engineering regarding equipment documentation

Raising and processing purchase requisitions to support engineering procurement activities

Coordinating contractors on site, ensuring risk assessments, compliance documentation and security processes are in place

Supporting visitor administration, security procedures and reception-related duties where required
What We Are Looking For

Good understanding of configuration control and asset management principles and systems

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

A supportive and professional approach, remaining calm under pressure

Awareness of budgetary management principles (desirable)

Knowledge of SAP (advantageous but not essential)

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace or other regulated environments would be beneficial
