Roles and Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day screening activity (e.g., denied parties, sanctions, embargos, end-use, end-user) in full compliance with applicable U.S. and non-U.S. regulations;
Oversee administration of screening tools and related company systems, and track and audit key performance indicators to identify enhancement opportunities;
Monitor and conduct business risk assessments related to developing sanctions and export controls, including reviewing updated export controls and newly designated parties under applicable sanctions (e.g., U.S., EU, and UK);
Maintain screening policies, procedures, and guidance, assist in the development and execution of an enhanced screening work flow, and provide related training to applicable organizations;
Assess ITC issues during due diligence and integration for strategic dispositions, mergers and acquisition transactions;
Provide ITC advice on various corporate issues, including issues related to KYC/KYS due diligence, treasury, licensing, patents, and trademarks;
Support audits and assessments of global sites, functions, and programs;
Work with a cross-functional team to identify and implement robust compliance systems and IT tools to enhance trade compliance;
Assist with investigations of potential non-compliance and resulting disclosures to government agencies in the U.S. and abroad;
Support a strong culture of compliance across the enterprise; and
Manage special projects and other compliance program continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in trade compliance
Experience with the application of ITC regulations (ITAR, EAR, Customs), including sanctions and embargos, in high volume environments
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Characteristics
