Responsible for maintaining technical and commercial understanding of components and Engine core parts that are worked on at Delta. The Specialist manages all aspects of OSR vendor performance that including, but not limited to: TAT, cost, quality, reliability, etc. They manage over 300 repair vendors and over 11,000+ repair orders, and over 75,000 on a yearly basis, requiring constant communication and tremendous resilience in the face of adversity and tough customers. The Specialist communicates with current and prospective internal customers and the internal shop overflow parts at OSR regarding their Request for Quote statuses and keeps an accurate record of responses.
The Specialist ensures internal business unit stakeholders clearly understand the technical and commercial aspects of account contract(s) and key deliverables. They provide daily interaction with internal shops and customers regarding customer quote requests, including compiling and managing customer quote requests. Additionally, the Specialist works closely with all respective vendors to support Component and Engine Maintenance, working toward all corporate, divisional, and business unit goals that include Engine production, Component bin compliance, rejections, overdue orders, and quotes. The Specialist supports all daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly Component and Engine OSR activities to provide operational support and hit TAT goals while maintaining cost effectiveness. They manage vendor performance and operational requirements, utilizing analytical skills and reasoning.
Reporting to the Manager, OSR Component & Engine Maintenance, the Specialist acts as a liaison with other internal organizations to resolve all issues that may arise that include technical analysts, engineering, materials, quality assurance, warranty, supplier operations, finance, tech sales, technical publications/communications, assists with issues that may arise with POs. The Specialist develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment, resulting in employee safety and well-being. The Specialist must practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
