Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Employee Development Specialist to join the Technical Training team at Cecil Field in Jacksonville, FL. The specialist will deliver hands-on and classroom training on aircraft electrical wiring interconnection and fiber optic systems. The role requires the specialist to align and develop learning objectives to customer technical requirements, and keep courseware, job aids, and training media current.
Responsibilities include analyzing customer training needs, performing product and systems research, developing new training media, and partnering with Operations, Quality, and Production Control to ensure technical training objectives support production and safety goals. The role also requires designing and conducting assessments, practical evaluations, documenting performance outcomes and report training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.
Position Responsibilities:
Instructs employees in the performance of electrical systems installation, repair, and modification on commercial and military aircraft
Instructs employees in the performance of fiber optic systems installation, modification, examination, and testing on commercial and military aircraft
Ensures employee training and certification records are completed accurately and within the prescribed timeframe
Highlights any issues associated with training plans, materials, or other issues impacting training delivery to team Leadership
Conducts analysis to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives, and design
Develops, conducts, and evaluates effectiveness of technical training
Uses specialized software to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing training media and materials
Travels for work up to 20 of the time
Adjusts work hours as needed to support customer training needs
Maintains a high degree of work ethic and adherence to Boeing standards
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes, and procedures
Reports all incidents and occurrences in the Boeing Safety Management System
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with any of the following: avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting
5+ years of experience interpreting commercial technical data including electrical schematics, blueprints, drawings, maintenance and operations manuals, sketches, and written and verbal instructions, in English
3+ years of experience conducting technical training and/or performing instructional system development
Experience and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems
Capability to work any shift as required by business need
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
A&P license
Experience with completing a formal instructor training program or capable to demonstrate comparable qualifications and experience
Stand-Up Instructor led training in support of commercial and military aircraft electrical systems installation, repair, maintenance, modification, and assembly operations (e.g., wire harness components, connections, fiber, routing, installation)
Specialized knowledge in aircraft systems such as Avionics, Electrical Power System, and Display and Crew Alerting

Summary pay range: $106,250 - $143,750
