Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Petroleum Specialist to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and serve as the focal point for all petroleum operations for the 160th SOAR. The Contractor shall serve as the SME for Petroleum management, which consists of operations and maintenance of a fuel distribution system equivalent to a small fuel farm, fuels laboratory, cryogenic storage, bulk storage, base service station, fuels information service center, mobile fueling operations, financial account management for missile propellants, aviation fuels, ground fuels and cryogenics utilized in support of aircraft, motor vehicles, engine test cells, powered Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), generators and heating systems required to support transient aircraft and 160th mission requirements.
  • Monitor and serve as the SME for units engaged in petroleum operations.
  • Monitor acquisitions, storage, inspections, testing, and issue and distribution of petroleum products.
  • Request and issue fuel keys to the 160th and attached units.
  • Develop, coordinate and serve as the SME for unit procedures and programs regarding the environmentally sound handling of petroleum products. The Contractor shall monitor waste disposal procedures for waste produced by unit petroleum operations.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records pertaining to petroleum accounting and distribution operations. The Contractor shall inspects Fuel Reports for administrative and technical errors.
  • Perform quality surveillance throughout the petroleum distribution system including but not limited to transfers to proper fuel accounts and ensuring fuel budget integration into the Flight Hour Program.
  • Report unit petroleum spills per applicable laws, regulations and policies.
  • Monitor clean-up operations and spill containment efforts.
  • Support the 160th with Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) and Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) Inspections. The Contractor shall support ARSOAC with Aviation Resource Management Survey (ARMS) Inspections.

Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in military petroleum operations as an Army Petroleum Logistics Specialist (Army MOS 92F (Petroleum Supply Specialist) or Warrant Officer MOS 923 (Petroleum Systems Technician) or another military branch equivalent).
  • Minimum 4 years experience with aircraft fueling operations and Forward Area Resupply operations.
  • Minimum must possess a Certificate of Completion for the Army HAZMAT course (or other military branch equivalent). Must be Air Movement qualified.
  • SECRET Clearance

The projected compensation range for this position is $94500 to $175500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
